Naming images

Make it as detailed as possible. The text will add to the keywords found. Don't make the image name specific to your folder structure. You want o make it as detailed as possible so that the search bots can derive meaning from the name.

SIZE AND Colour commands

An image resolution of 72 DPI is all you need. Use image editing software to alter the resolution. Keep the image size minimal. This helps the site to load quickly. Use an image editing tool to reduce the size of the image. Look through the code and pay attention to any colour commands relating to text. Do not allow developers to embed keywords at the bottom of the page in the same colour as the background.

Using alt text in images

As said before, using keywords in image file names and image alt attributes lead to higher rankings. Make the image alt text as detailed as possible. But ensure the text is unique and relevant. Make sure that the closing and opening double quote marks are on while filling up alt text. Use keywords to rename image files and render meaning to them in the eyes of a search bot. Use captions wherever possible.

Use video optimization

First of all, you need to prepare your video files properly. Locate the video file in Windows Explorer and make sure the file is not set to read only, then right-click on the video's icon to access properties. Rename the file to a keyword-rich alternative. Use hyphenated keyphrases (e.g. business-cards-from chambers.avi). Next, right-click again and access the "Summary" tab. Add a keyword-rich title (e.g. Business Cards from Chambers Print) and some useful keywords.
